This Autumn we see the return of Season 3 of our Sunday Screenings at SBS123. Ilona Morison our Film Expert and curator extraordinaire has created another fabulous programme of films to entertain and promote discussion for those highland wintry afternoons. We kick off the season with a Double Bill for all art lovers.
LOVING VINCENT - This is one-of- a-kind movie and definitely a must for lovers of Van Gogh. The film manages to produce new paintings using his technique. The result is visually striking. You can actually experience some of Van Gogh's paintings coming to life, which is in itself pretty amazing.
FINAL PORTRAIT - n 1964, American writer James Lord is asked to sit for a portrait by artist Alberto Giocometti, which begins their off-beat friendship and gives Lord an insight into the profundity and chaos of the artistic process.
