Ambiguous Proposition is a monologue performed by Hilary Cordery and written by Shona Newmark. The play delves into the legal test applied to sexual harassment in the workplace, leaving the audience to make their own judgment on what actually happened and what matters, based on the facts relayed. The narrative is from the perspective of the alleged harasser’s mother, and her attempt to ‘protect’ her son and ultimately herself.
Hilary Cordery is an established actor and director in non-professional theatres across South East London. Ambiguous Proposition is written, and produced by Wait, What? The company wrote, produced and devised their namesake work-in-progress play Wait, What? about geographic borders in Ireland, for the 2019 Edinburgh Fringe, under the name Oh-Symmetric Theatre Company.
