In 2022/23 Skye Bridge Studios was a venue for Scotland on Tour: whose funds helped to create new concerts and bring world class music to towns and villages across Scotland. Since then, the Skye Bridge Studios 123 venue is well and truly on the musical map for touring bands. We continue to host talented musicians from near and far in our purpose built and delightfully intimate Studio 3.
In 2024, thanks to funding from the Programming Fund Pot from The Touring Network some of our gigs have been supported and we are excited to bring you another wonderful line-up of talented musicians.
San Miguel Fraser - Hannah Moule - Vincular & Ron Jappy - Charlie Stewart & Rebecca Hill - Robert Vincent - Plockton Music School Yr 6 - Neon Waltz - Innes Watson & Rory Matheson - The Strathspey Queens & Plockton Music School - Adam Ross - Ainsley Hamill.
Our relationship with the National School of Excellence in Traditional Music, also known as The Plockton Music School, has grown from strength to strength thanks to the vision created by Dougie Pincock. We are excited to continue this relationship with the new Director of the Music School, Mike Vass who succeeded Dougie after his retirement from a 20 + year leadership in the Autumn of 2023. Mike, a well known and highly acclaimed fiddle player, has performed at the Studios in his own right as well as with the students. He can also be found directing the sound from the tech booth for many of the student's gigs. A man of many talents!
We are keen to encourage local emerging musicians and are always on the lookout for artists to support headline acts.
